Hi Stan,
I have seen a lamp similar to this, but made under the name Brittania.
It is in an 80mm diameter globe, and has four 25W ring-shape coiled filaments. The four filaments are stacked above each other vertically. It has a bayonet cap with a push-button switch on the end of a long hanging cable, and each time you push the switch it lights up an extra filament to give you 25/50/75/100W.
I believe this lamp was made by Metropolitan-Vickers (Metrovick) factory in Brimsdown, London around 1925. Is yours similar? I will try to do a photo. Probably quite a few companies made this kind of thing in the early days.
Best regards,
James.
