In the 1960s Paramount [Raylite Electric Co.] marketed a set of lights known as Rainbow Wink-O-Lites. These lamps contained two smaller multicolored lamps within the main white tubular shaped envelope. These smaller hidden lamps were multicolored and blinked in random causing the main bulb to glow in a variety of different colors. A string of seven Wink-O-Lites lights, all independently blinking, produced a very unique effect to say the least. Wink-O-Lites did not sell well and were only produced for a few years. They have become quite collectible today because of their scarceness and funky design.
