  These lamps were marketed by Amico during the late 1930s and were an attempt to compete with other shunt type lamps such the Japanese XL lamp. The quality of these lamps are questionable their run was short lived and today they are an uncommon find. Another version of the Perma Lite lamp was made that reflected the style of the traditional C6 cone shaped lamp2. The lamp shown here is the geometric shaped version.
