  General Electric first promoted their outside light strings in 19271 The first sets incorporated outside painted lamps such as the example shown here. Shortly thereafter more traditional cone shaped "C9" lamps became the norm. These early lamps bear the marking "MAZDA MADE IN THE USA" on the bottom of the screw base.
