Two early carbon filament lamps exist in the collection that are identified as De Khotinsky. Both lamps are identified by a circular etching on the glass "A. DE KHOTINSKY". Khotinsky is credited with establishing the first incandescent lamp manufacturing facility in Holland in 1885- six years before Philips in Eindhoven.
