This scarce porcelain current tap contains a plug pattern compatible with the early Hubble in-line tandem blade design as well as the standardized pattern used on modern plugs today. The two distinct plug patterns are located 90º from each other, resulting in the odd looking pattern that you see here. More common fittings that accepted both plug patterns often had opposing Tee shaped holes to accept either style plug as shown on this fitting. |
