Glad you like it. It certainly isn`t your average holiday light setup, that`s for sure!
What does a colour-changing C7 LED lamp look like ?I havn`t got any closeups yet but will have a review page of them on
http://torchreviews.net soon. They are quite special!
Also, on your control panel, are the 24V relays there so that you can conveniently distribute the load between your 110V 3KVA transformers ?Kind of. The lights are connected in six channels, switched with relays in the main panel and also in the two external cabinets. Roofline, Windows/Door, Wall Verticals/Middle, Front Garden, Bushes, Garage, in that order. Every day the timer kicks in at 1530 energizing the big contactor and powering the transformers. After a pre-set delay, the six channels come on one by one at another pre-set rate. It lessens the big surge that would otherwise pop breakers (though the kick of the three *unloaded* transformers starting up is enough to drop a C-type 20A breaker now and then - it did it the other night!) and also looks good too, especially at switch-on night. The relays do the power switching but the sequential action is provided by a magic grey box inside the main panel. When the time comes for the lights to shut off for the night (2230), they go off in six stages too. Again, it lessens surges and looks good too. Doesn`t catch unsuspecting passers-by unawares by suddently plunging them into darkness!
