YOWZA!
I've been mostly ignoring figural bulbs and don't even own any, because IMO they're almost all ugly and cheesy-looking. Now after looking at this Lincoln bulb, it does appear to have been well made and highly detailed, though suffering somewhat the ravages of Time.
Is this style really so rare as to be worth the amount bid, even in that cosmetic condition, to say nothing of its (unknown - assumed to be bad) electrical condition?
BTW, for additional surprise value, look at the bid history. The last two bids were identical and both entered mere seconds before the auction end! Ebay tip: when attempting to snipe like that, don't use round figures. Adding a few odd cents can win a surprising number of bidding duels.
