G-E C-7 bulbs with internal [vacuum coated??] colors

Hi all,
I'm a noob here, but it's great to see that I'm not alone in my fascination with
lights. When i was growing up in the early 50's, all i wanted for Christmas was
Christmas lights! So, I'd usually get a set or two of Noma 15 or 25 C-7 lights
(among other things), and i was happy. I remember being amazed at how the
[particular type of] bulbs they commonly used in these sets had such a nice pastel color when off, but had really vivid color when on, as compared to bulbs that had the paint on the outside (looked darker when off, lighter when on)
Most of the C9 "swirl" bulbs i've seen also seem to be of this (for lack of a better term)vacuum-coated inside color variety ( looks like a powder coating).
These had the "G-E" logo as opposed to the 'script-in-circle' logo, as was on the later externally painted GE bulbs.
A check on ebay revealed that there aren't many surviving C-7s of this type left, although the C-9 'swirl' bulbs seem to be quite common.
I was wondering if anyone had more information or any sources for these.

I got some of these type of bulbs off of e-bay in a boxed set once, but it was not mentioned in the auction. i currently find them at some antique stores and if im lucky at the good will. I too love the colors that these bulbs have, especially the blue green and yellow bulbs. Im only 22 years old, but love old christmas lights too. They seem to last longer and the colors are terrific. My grandfather would always give me old christmas lights because i was always amazed with anything that lit up. You may find some more info about these particular bulbs on bills antique web site
