Info wanted on Geissler Tube, please.
« on: August 06, 2011, 11:24:56 am »
Hi
Newbie needing info.
I have acquired a tube that I have been told is a GEISSLER TUBE. I bought it to sell on, so please don't take offense. I know absolutely nothing about these tubes.
This one is 12ins long. Yellow glass in the centre (I think this could be Uranium glass). Very pretty (is that the correct term?)
If you're reading this you'll know more about these tubes than I do so I wont go into details.
Any info what-so-ever about this tube would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for things like approx age/country of origin (surely not all made in Germany?)/rough value etc.

Thanks for your time and patience

Jannie
