Edison Lamp Replica
« on: August 31, 2005, 03:34:40 pm »
I have received an inquiry from a gentleman who is searching for a manufacturer of the Edison lamp (replica) with wooden base and wire terminals. He would like to purchase several for the purpose of presenting them as gifts. Can anyone give me the name of a manufacturer? Email to ejcov@frognet.net

Dear Ed,

I think it's been quite a few years since anyone produced any of these replica lamps with the wooden bases.  I made quite a lot of them at GE in 1999 for the 120th anniversary but all of these were sold.

Since then all I have seen are the Aamsco demo units, with a wooden base containing a medium screw lampholder, equipped with a carbon filament replica lamp made by Kyp.  I don't think these are generally available for sale but am sure Aamsco could have more made up to the same design.  Go to www.aamsco.com or talk with Bob Rosenzweig there.

Best regards and good luck,

James.
