at one time I came across a small box of 40 watt GE "flair" lamps(12 to the box). These particular lamps have a sort of dark orange rough surface that glows peach when turned on. Anyone have any idea when these were made?

Are these the 15 watt amber ones, with an iridescent-like glass shape? Are they transparent or not? BTW, I am familar with the Flair trade name; GE used to use the Flair name on their decorative lamps until maybe like 20 years ago. Strangely, a few stores still refer the GE decorative lamps as Flairs, probably because they have been selling GE bulbs for so long that some things in their buying departments just don't change.

Oh sorry, I misread your question, yours are 40 watts and the rough amber surface answers the coating question, now I have a couple more questions, do they have a medium base, and are the bulbs flame shaped, like 4.5 inches long?

These are candelabra based, torpedo shaped.

size: about 3? inches.
