Found!!! C6 Candles Lights(Germany)IOB
« on: October 27, 2000, 09:50:00 pm »
Hi All, I purchased a Set of Candle Lights today that the bulbs are German made and The name of the set is "Triangle Xmas Tree Lighting Set". It came in the original box but says nothing about where or who Triangle is. They are beautiful tungsten filament coiled bulbs. The set is a cloth in line string, in like new shape. Does anyone have anymore infomation on this set? It has a red stamped catalogue number on the box (Candle 508C). Thanks Bill

Hi, Bill!  There was a company named Triangle Electric Company who operated in the United States in the early 1920s. On my website (www.oldchristmaslights.com, on page 1 of the Vintage Advertising category), I have a picture of a 1921 advertisement that appeared in that year's December issue of The Electrical Record. I'm almost positive that the Triangle Electrical Company merged with the C.D. Wood Company in about 1923, and then that new company merged with NOMA in 1926.It is hard to date your lighting outfit from a description alone. If you could e-mail me a picture to doglovers4@aol.com, I might be able to help you further. Hope this helps!
Warm regards to all,
Bill Nelson

Hi Bill,

Great looking set of early German candles. I have three loose candles like those shown in your set - it's neat to see what the original outfit looked like and to see it in like-new condition!

Thanks for sharing your pictures!
