Odd bulb

Hello bulb experts,

as a newbie here, i have any questions about this odd double carbon-filament bulb.
The small and big filaments are switchable by a cord. The switch is in the base.



Has anyone informations about age and manufacturer of this nice old bulb ?

What you have here is a very nice working example of a "Hylo" turn-down lamp with an internal switch manufactured sometime in the early 20th c. You can find more information about these right here on bulbcollector.com by clicking on "Related Links" and then click on to Edward Covington. Next, click on "Early Incandescent Lamps" then scroll down to item 7 - "Some Lamp Types" and then click on "Hylo-Economical Turn-Down Lamps." Bingo! There you will find everything you'll want to know about this bulb.
