Title: Edison-Mazda-GE versus Mazda-GE Bulbs
Post by: starpacer on April 23, 2003, 08:46:00 pm
I collect flashbulbs and have found virtually no written information regarding dates of manufacture, etc. for the various bulbs in my collection.  This site has much more information than I have seen anywhere else.  I'm hoping somebody here might have some info pertaining to lightbulbs that might 'shed some light' on a  related flashbulb question.  My question is this:  Is there a well defined point at which GE  stopped using 'Edison' in its advertising?  I have two similar early foil-filled flashbulbs, one has an "Edison-Mazda-GE" sleeve, the other has a "Mazda-GE" wrapper.  I'm guessing the 'Edison' bulb is a very early flashbulb (ca 1930), and that the 'Mazda' bulb was produced in the mid-30's, but have no information to prove that.  Any info would be appreciated.
