Title: New Topics on Website
Post by: Ed Covington on January 07, 2002, 05:54:00 pm
For you historical buffs, I have put six more topics on my website. These are: the Just tungsten lamp, Katherine Blodgett, The Edison Effect, The Gas-Filled Lamp, Garrett Morgan and Philip Diehl. These can be viewed by going to: http://www.frognet.net/~ejcov/ (http://www.frognet.net/~ejcov/)

Congratulations on some great work Ed I thoroughly enjoyed reading the update to your site.  Its was nice to read so much about Katherine Blodgett as well, I've come across her surname so many times in modern scientific literature but never seen such a comprehensive and easy to read account of her work before, well done!

I look forward to your next enlightening additions :-)

Bob, I've self-published five books to date but believe it's time for someone with more years to live than I have left to give it a go. A collaborative effort by several persons is a possibility. Quite a book could now be written, what with the internet, email etc. Collectors now have lamps in their collections that I've never seen. The first step is hard but the end result would be worth the effort.
