My friend has a vintage beer sign that was given to him. There is a bulb that came with it and he can't seem to find the replacement for it. Anyone have any ideas of what to do? It reads: SYLVANIA DJS 6V 30W Made in the USA. There's also a 4 and an 8 on there too. Here are some pics:
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

At first I confused this with a common projector lamp but after a little research I see that these were in fact used in advertising signs. I don?t know of any sources but you should routinely check eBay for this bulb, perhaps by setting up an automated search for ?DJS bulb? or similar. Some google searching revealed a site with this listing, not cheap though:
DJS $50.00 6V 30W 5000 Hours Possible Substitute DKN (http://74.125.95.104/search?q=cache:Ts180otNrxQJ:www.replacementlightbulbs.com/lampshardtofindd.html+sylvania+DJS+6V+30W+-par&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=4&gl=us)
This site (http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/djs.html) has specs for the DJS and also mentions the type DKN as a possible substitution - something you will want to look into.
