WANTED AEROLUX FOR ART PROJECT
« on: January 30, 2014, 09:13:21 pm »
Hello, I am an artist working in NYC and building an instillation (hopefully for one of our great museums) using Aerolux bulbs. I am also happy to take any similar filament bulbs like duralite, or cheer lights etc? I am willing to pay top dollar (what that is I don't quite know but I'm open to discussion) for any working bulbs and anyone interested in selling a whole collection I would be grateful!
thanks
Josh

Welcome to the forum Josh.  Do you have duplicate bulbs for trading?  If so please provide a list and I'll look around and see what I have.

Please keep us updated on your Aerolux project!

thanks Tim. I have many duplicates but I am a long way from knowing which bulbs I will need, primarily I will be using flowers, but my plan is to tell somewhat of a story so I am looking to have as many as possible?. as soon as I know which bulbs I will be willing to trade I will let you know? I have begun testing 3 bulbs, all different ages, to see how long I can have them "on" before they begin to blacken. If you have any good info about that let me know. Obviously this is a complex project as in a sense it is "dying" and finite?. But for it to work the bulbs will have to be on for many hours a day for as long as the instillation is open.
It's been fascinating me for years. Glad to finally be on your forum?
Josh
