British Patents
« on: February 25, 2001, 09:24:00 am »
One is able to obtain a photocopy of a British patent through the British Library as they operate a Patent Express service. The service is excellent but the cost is somewhat high because of the distance to the U.S. They can be reached at: patent-express@bl.uk
I am sure British patents can be obtained at various libraries in the U.S. with less cost involved. One library that I've dealt with is The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Mailed photocopies can be obtained for 40 cents a page; 10 cents if you do it in the library. Fax copies can be obtained for 50 cents a page. To obtain copies from them just email to the Head of the Public Documents and Patents Dept., John W. Graham, at: johngraham@plch.lib.oh.us
