Title: antique tungsten light bulb
Post by: lu on August 27, 2010, 05:23:40 pm
I have a crystal chandelier with 6 flame shape bulbs in conventional small screw base.
There are two hair-like filaments forming two rectangular shapes (ends are rounded) originating from the 3 supporting pins.
The middle pin is longer than the outside two pins.
The middle pin contains the start and finish of one of the rectangular filaments
The lateral pins ....one starts the filament and the other ends with the same filament...again rectangular in shape but longer than the one on the
middle pin.

I have no idea of the age of the bulb...shape is like a common bulb but the filament is uncommon.
There is a fine deposit of blackened material on the inside of the glass.
Any HELP is appreciated!!

Perhaps you could post a picture of the bulbs to help identify them?
