Lamps at Columbia
« on: August 25, 2000, 10:12:00 pm »
I have a copy of a letter written by William J. Hammer in 1918 to a gentleman at the National Lamp Works. In that letter he mentioned that the lamp collection at Columbia University consisted, in part, of lamps contributed by him. A few years ago I had the opportunity to help catalog that collection but I declined at that time. I thought it might be of interest to collectors to know of Hammer's contribution to that collection.
