Title: It's christmas time again!
Post by: Hemingray on November 29, 2002, 07:18:00 pm
As we all know, it's that time of year again. time to break out the christmas decorations, which includes the best part: THE LIGHTS! the way I decorate, I go with this saying: Can't have modern without some vintage. so along with the miniatures I have some C-7s strung, and a C-6 candelabra in the window. Like to hear everyone else's opinions on holiday lighting  (http://www.bulbcollector.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Hi...As for me my main tree(very large spruce) it has modern bubblers as well as plain colored bulbs mixed in with some being flashers. The ornaments are repro figural mostly with a mix of Radko and Old World. My mantle has imitation green garland strung across in which I hid 2 stings of sockets. The sockets have old C7.5 figural lamps in them on a dimmer. I have a nice Nativity set atop the mantle with a centerpiece lamp holding 7 matchless stars also on a dimmer. Then I have a table top tree resembling a feather tree to which I affixed 3 C6 strings with upright sockets. In these I have pear shaped carbon lamps with exhaust tips....I must admit it all looks nice!

My wife and I have multicoloured minilights on our Christmas tree, and also on 1 or 2 trees in the front yard.  Along the rail of our front sundeck is a string of c7 Christmas lights that have some steady glow and some twinkle lights.
