Title: GE Flair Bulbs

Any idea as to the year? I have about 7 of these. (used to have 12 when I bought them at a goodwill back in Florida., but some went over those years) There's no barcode label on them, which leads me to believe that these bulbs are either from the 1960s, or somewhere into the early 1970s. Aside from the goodwill price sticker for 29 cents. there's a white oval sticker on top of the box, pricing it at 75 cents.

What is the bulb coated with on the outside?  Looks similar to the old GE "Lighted Ice" Christmas lamps.  I would guess it to be from the same era...

some sort of very fine, yet rough surface. almost looks like sand. not sure exactly what it's called, but it's way finer than the Lighted Ice bulbs.

i have a christmas bulb that is the miniture c-6 base bulb that is a globe shape that has this ame pebbled look, it seems to be coverd in fine glass pellets or beads in a variety of diffrent sizes, it seems it would be of either the late 60's or 70's.

Hemingray,

According to GE's "Tree of Light", their timeline of lamp development, the Flair was introduced during the early 1960s.  I have a poster size version of this timeline and just noticed the Flair appears between 1960 and 1970.
