Title: Overheat?
Post by: echoes on February 22, 2009, 12:30:19 am
I have a 25 Watt GE lightbulb inside of a styrofoam cooler that I plan to keep lit for about 3 weeks straight. Will this cause the bulb to overheat and explode or catch fire?

I doubt anything is going to explode or catch fire, melt maybe if the bulb is in close proximity to the wall of the cooler.  Regardless, this doesn?t sound like a wise idea to me?.

What's your purpose?  Incubator?  Can you monitor the temperature?
