New member from the West Coast, Southern California 8-). I enjoy tinkering in the garage and re-creating old style and steampunk type lighting art. I'm always looking for a place to find vintage bulbs and just happened on to Kilokat's. What a great site. Currently I'm looking for some large light bulbs for my current project. I'm not very versed in the types of bulbs, looking for a bulb that is about 9-12 inches in length. What I did see out there are called "Edison Mazda" light bulbs. They don't have to be working. Any help in locating some is greatly appreciated, or better point me to the correct area to look.

Hello I am new here too, from my experiance, is you can find lamps on ebay that is work or not working. in yard sales, flea market
and even on cragslist. is your best bet for old vintage lamps, I think working lamps it best to use reproduction lamps
as I would not use working vintage lamps on steampunks projects.

Thanks for responding. In my area I haven't been able to find any useable light bulbs at yard sales and on craigslist. I even tried a few swamp meets. Ebay does have some good items, I was hoping to find another source other than Ebay. I will browse some of the sale forums. You are correct about using a collector bulb for a light project. Thanks and good to hear from somebody!

Do the bulbs need to be old? You can buy new ones at lighting suppliers.
