Quiet here?
« on: March 07, 2004, 11:01:00 am »
It has been pretty quiet here lately.  Is anyone reading this finding any neat old bulbs or similar things of interest - eBay or otherwise?  I have not followed eBay in a few months.  Have I been missing out on some great things? Share your findings and stories here!  Lets keep the interest alive!

Hi Tim!
Noo, I visit the Forums at least three or four times each day. Don't be affraid, you're not alone, all of us are here.

Because at this days I'm testing, repairing and modifying an slightly old self-made electronic flash unit, I'm planning to test "at a real environment" your Amglo Open Spiral, despite its intrinsically high voltage requirements.
When I will have any results about I will share here the info. and eventually pics for you and anyone interested on.

Best regards,
M. Gonz?lez.

Hi Tim!

I check this board once every 2 days or so. As for recent eBay auctions:

Surprisingly the seller ignores that this one are a genuine SHELBY MUSHROOM SHAPED like the LIVERMORE'S CENTENNIAL BULB!

He or her says that it would be a Edison bulb!
Regrettably it has been sold yet.

Best regards,
M. Gonz?lez.

Yoshi, thanks for pointing out the auctions!  I see a lot of interesting bulbs there, most ended now.  I may be tempted to bid on a couple if there's still time left.

M?nico, keep us posted on your flash lamp experiments.  I haven't had the nerve to try and light one of mine yet.  If you're able to light one please try and get a picture!

Yes M?nico, I already have my own edison-based Shelby bulb, that's why I didn't bid seriously (I was looking for a duplicate). They are neat bulbs.

You're welcome Tim! I occassionally place links to interesting eBay auctions on my site's main page, in the little box that says: "Latest eBay finds".
