S-1 Sunlight Mercury Discharge
« on: March 18, 2010, 11:14:34 pm »
I have a GE Sunlamp model BM16 that has been in storage for 15-25 years. It has a GE Mazda S-1 bulb as found on the link below.

   lamptech.co.uk/Spec%20Sheets/GE%20S1.htm

I plugged it in and it is one bright lamp!!! There is a pool of mercury in the bulb when cool.
The fixture is about 5'-6" high and has 2 positions that lock in. All wiring is original as far as I can tell. It has 4 wheels in the base and the shade has a few dents. The switch is on the side of the base.
