Need help id weird GE Bulb

(1/1)

cobraco:
any help would be greatly appreciated I cant seem to figure this one out. The saucer shape inside is weird thx

Tim:
Looks like a typical General Electric type NE-42 neon indicator lamp.  These were used in a variety of applications including vintage electrical test equipment.  The saucer shaped elements glow neon orange when the bulb is electrified.  It may or may not require a ballast resistor for operation, so be cautious if you attempt to light it and verify first.
