Title: Antique Flashlight

I found a Flashlight with the words French Ray-o-Lite on the bottom of it. It also had a Eveready #950 Battery inside. On the battery, it said "For best results: Use before Nov. 1926," so I know the flashlight is at least 77 years old. I was wondering what it was worth now and/or if I could get any information on it.

Wow !  What sort of condition was a battery of that age in ?

The battery is still in pretty good shape. It is not leaking and the paper is a bit cracked but you can still read everything on it.

I have a battery(a 4.5 volt "grid" battery from an old radio)with the words"best used before jan. 1934"..with a bit of life left in it-enough to run a LCD digital clock. These things need tiny,tiny amounts of current, but for a 68 year old(minimum) battery to do anything at all is amazing.
