Hi,
I've recently come into possession of a Tell Star II audio modulated light. It actually requires 5 bulbs and I don't have any. The instructions on the back are to put a E. E. Type D-80 in the center and four G. E. Type D-26 bulbs around the outside. Aside from one person on ewanted.com looking for D-26 bulbs, I have found no info about those and none at all about the D-80. Is E. E. stand for Edison Electric? Or something else? I've tried using various C7 bulbs and have had various limited success. The center bulb lights up ok, but the perimeter bulbs light at an almost invisibly dim level which varies depending on how many bulbs I have in. If I remove the center bulb, the whole thing turns off. I variously tried 3w, 4w and 40w bulbs. Any suggestions or hints as to the history of the requisite bulbs would be fantastic and if you have any idea where I can find something similar or find the actual bulbs that would be amazing.
