Hello,
This is my first time here and I just found 2 light bulbs in a house that is about 80 or so years old. The bulbs remind me of a salt shaker. The glass looks like some of them clear dinner plates with diamond shape edges in it. The top is flat and they both light up. I dont have a picture, they are my mother in laws.

Hi and welcome to the forum. This sounds like a fairly modern Sylvania halogen bulb. It's often confused with being an antique bulb. Please post photos and I will confirm and check the screw base for any Sylvania markings.

I will. It may be a while. I know the house has been abandoned for a long time.
