Title: Antique carbon filament bulb?
Post by: AbH on April 12, 2010, 01:02:55 pm
Hello,
I am a new member to the forum and to bulb collecting but I am finding it very interesting. I love old technology and recently a family member generously gave me this bulb. He was moving and he new I would appreciate it. It is (from what I can tell) a early 20th century carbon filament sign bulb. It has no markings on the glass or the base. Could anyone help identify the manufacturer and year it was made? I am worried about powering it up because I don't know the voltage or anything about it. I have checked it with an Ohm meter and the resistance is about 2000 Ohms.

Any information would be appreciated!!
