My father-in-law asked me to look around for info on the victory bulb made at the end of WWII.  I did find the picture but no info or value.  He has one that is in working condition.
 http://www.bulbcollector.com/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Neon_Glow_Lamps&image=Aerolux_Victory.jpg&img=0&search=victory%20bulb&cat=all&tt=&bool=

Any suggestions where I can get more info on this for him???

Thanks for any help

Cindy

Hello Cindy,

Your bulb is known as a figural neon glow light.  It was made by a company called Aerolux in New York, ca.1940s  Aerolux made similar glow lights with a wide range of filament designs - you probably saw some of these in the gallery.  These bulbs have become very collectible, I've seen the Victory bulb sell anywhere from $30-$80.  Most glow purple and I've heard the neon (orange glow) version is harder to find.

Hope this helps,
