Title: light holders/display bases
Post by: geraldmusic on September 20, 2010, 03:19:38 am
Help!!

I'm looking for Aerolux lamp holders OTHER THAN the "splats"
- low-profile (i.e. FLAT-ish), shadeless (i.e. does not need and can not accommodate a shade of any kind) lamp bases.
Some call these ?light holders? and I am hoping to use them to display other kinds of ?medium? screw-base (E26/27 aka standard household lamp socket-sized) bulbs.

Can you show examples of what you do and do not want? I'm not entirely sure what you mean but I think I have an idea.

By 'splats',  do you mean the small, ornate sockets usually found accompanying the bulbs? (at least in my experience) I have seen a few in various materials like cast iron and bakelite with varying designs but not in a really different style from the low profile table-top display type.

Hi Again, Nick,

THANKS for THIS post also!

Here's a picture of kind of an ideal bulb-(Aerolux or otherwise)-holder, except that it's missing the mirror assembly and looks, well, as if it's missing something, when the black mirror-holder bracket (visible in the back) is removed.

Thanks AGAIN,
g

P.S.
You're right about the splats - that's exactly what I mean.
