Title: Source for C-6 sockets
Post by: BeerMan on October 15, 2004, 12:35:00 am
Greetings all:

Making an assumption here that the old C-6 (NOMA etc, Bubblers et al) light sockets are now known as "miniature screwed socket" 3/8" diameter. That said, Does anyone know of a source for bulk C-6 lamp sockets ? ??  ? I have several dozen antique lamps that I will be building a display rack for. Too many to strip old light strings due to the destructive nature of disassembly required.

Need the screwed base with crimped center contact, no mounting lugs, brackets or wire leads.

Thanks in advance guys

have you tried radioshack? I have found miniture base sockets there before, without a mounting base but with tabs for atatching wire. dont know if this is what you are lookng for or not, but good luck.

yes, radioshack or any electronic components dealer. i would stick to radioshack, and you could possibly wrap the display rack in green garland to hide the sockets but show the bulbs nicely
