I'm a packrat by nature, and collect bulbs the same way. If it looks neat, and I can afford it, I buy it. It never hurts to get the word out to friends and relatives that you collect bulbs-sometimes they find stuff for you..

I couldn't agree more Scott. One of the very first old bulbs I got was from my uncle when I was about 5 years old (the bug hit early!) - it was a GE NE-34 neon pilot lamp that I still have today. Little did I know what affect that one bulb would have years later!

I will have to agree as-well ! Unfortunately I haven't gotten any bulbs yet !  Just a whole lot of other curious stuff. I keep my fingers crossed though !

Has anyone tried a local want ad in thier newspaper? I did this a few years ago in our "thrifty" paper, free ad so I thought what the heck. I had a lot of calls and met a radio collector who I hadn't met before in the area. We ended up trading a lot of stuff and both walked away happy with some new vacuum tubes and antique bulbs for our collections. I guess the point is to get your "feelers" out there where ever you can.....

Hey Tim !
I've thought about it, but honestly I'm a bit aprehensive about being flooded with phone calls. Seeing though that you've tried it and survived ( Ha Ha Ha) I really should give it a shot. Perhaps after I return from "The Great White North" Ha Ha Ha....
