Title: For what it's worth
Post by: Scott on September 25, 2001, 03:13:00 pm
American Science and Surplus has a goofy Edison base neon bulb, the electrodes in the shape of the "trucker babe" you see on the mudflaps of semis. Cost? A buck seventy five.Their catalog is fun to read, and they do have quite a few cool things.
Wally World has a plasma globe for $19.95-lowest price I've ever seen one one, if you don't mind the furry claw holding the globe. It's in the Halloween section.

There are lots of these newly-made figural neon glow lamps for sale on eBay, though most of them start at $9.99.  The "trucker babe" type is usually described as "sitting naked girl" in the item descriptions.  Try this search (including descriptions):

(neon, argon, glow, figural, aerolux) "light bulb" -christmas -indiglo -headlights

The seller for most of the new glow lamps is lionsden1@aol.com
