Today at an estate sale i picked up a set of Noma Heavenly twinkle star lites, they are miniture(c-6) based string of 18 with two candelarbra socketed balest lames, with the miniture base sockets twinkling at random and burining individually with a shunt device in each lamp. I am figuring form the type of socket and the lack of the World Wide logo that it must be mid 60's, its piggyback connection is a hard molded rubber with the cord molded into the plug witch i would believe to be mid 60's. My problem is that teh 6-8 volt twinkle lamps do not seem to be twinkling, i only have 4 out of the 18 that will twinkle and i left the lights on for a good portion of the day. does anyone else seem to have this type of trouble, and yes i am sure they are twinkling type lamps because they all are fitted with bi-metalic strips inside the lamps.over all they are an interesting string, but i will note that when i found them they were connected with a flasher plug so this may have been a problem with this type of lamp? still a fun buy at 1 dollar.

Neat find.? Have you tried lighting the flasher lamps individually, that is removed from the string completely?? This should tell you if the flashing problem is occurring in the string or the lamp itself.? If you can measure the voltage at each socket then it may also help in determining if the bi-metallic blinker lamps are being fed with enough voltage to function properly.
