Title: were are places you buy your lights
Post by: christmasnut on January 24, 2015, 08:28:41 pm
Were do you find your replacement light bulbs.
I just got back into collecting c6 christmas  about 6 years ago.
For years I was unable to find c6 light bulbs.
Once in a great while I would find a light string in a thrift store.
It was after I got the internet that I found Lions Den I was able to buy c6 light bulbs again.
Now that Paul is gone It is hard to find them again.
I have always liked the c6 light strings.
I use to do Ebay but when they got were you could not use a casher check or money order I stopped using them.
There has to be places out there were you can find them.
There are quite a few people who like the older  lighted decorations.
I joined this site to talk to other people who share the same interests. .
I see that the post get a lot of hits but one one seams to post.
I tried to start a collectors group in this area some people said they were interested.
But when push came to shove they backed out.
At one time I looked into yahoo groups. there were some collector groups there but they were dead no posts of any kind.
The older style Christmas light do not have to die out we as a group can keep them alive.
But we need to start sharing information about were to get the lights and the light bulbs.
There is new reproduction made. I know there is some new old stock out there
Right now every one is scared some one esle will get them before they do.
Some of it we may have to group together in order to do

well I can only echo all you have posted Ronald, im trying to find spare c7 for my modern day bubblers with the same problems I also bought a box of 50 from Paul a good while back but a lot of these have blown since, I now bought a dimmer best year ever I lost only 2 bulbs this year but I would love more spares myself, but it is starting to look like a lost cost especially postage costs from U.S.A. to U.K. ......in fact it seems it would be cheaper to buy drugs

Ronald, Th FB page is free and the Glow membership is 50 bucks a year.  Not a bad price and a lot of good folks.  If they can not find it for you then no one can. I am a member of the Glow as well.
