Title: shipping antique light bulbs
Post by: Knomad on December 10, 2017, 05:22:47 pm
Mr. Tim Tromp.  Please excuse my lack of knowledge; where on the bulb is this "exhaust tip"?    I was not aware that the shipping positionh might be critical.  I am a newby to this site.  I am not a collector, I just happen to have a unique (so I thought) Popeye bulb I would like to determine a fair/realistic price to determine if there is any interest to other collectors.

The article was originally written with antique light bulbs in mind, most which exhibit is a sharp glass point or exhaust tip on the top of the envelope.  Basically, you want the bulb to be positioned in the package vertically oriented and with the base down.

Thank you for the info; I don't think my bulb has such a tip.
