Title: Is it worth stocking up on incandescent flashlight bulbs ?
Post by: adam2 on November 23, 2009, 08:11:37 am
As disscussed elswhere on these forums, many countries are prohibiting or restricting the sale of mains voltage incandescent lamps for general lighting.

Therei is AFAIK no such ban proposed for flashlight/torch bulbs, however it might be a good idea to stock up on these, especialy the older or less common types.
With the growing use of LED lamps, some types of incandescent lamp are already in short supply, and I suspect that others will follow.

Maglight, Surefire and others still make incandescent flashlights and will probably support theire products for many years with replacement lamps.

My concern is more with the less common lamps.
