Segrams V O Neon Bulb
« on: February 07, 2011, 07:23:09 pm »
I recently purchased a Segrams lamp from Canada. It has a neon bulb the same shape as the Birdseye RCA neon bulb but it has a V O as the display. Can anyone tell me what this lamp is worth ?

Hice bulb. It has a different shaped glass then the RCA lamp. The RCA is shaped like a ST vacuum tube and this one looks to be shaped like a hurricane chimney glass.

The hurricane shape was predominantly used by Aerolux during the "Duro-Test years" during the 1970s.  The ST tube envelope is completely unique to the 1930s Birdseye's RCA neon advertising bulb and wasn't used for any other glow lights AFAIK.
