Glass caps for Edison Bulbs
« on: July 23, 2015, 07:16:23 pm »
These bulbs and caps just ended on ebay and brought a good price.  I have no idea what they (the caps) were originally used for - insulators, light diffusers or what?

Both have the same patent date (7/11/05), but two different manufacturers (Betts & Betts, Solar Elect).

Can anyone on this forum shed some light (no pun intended) on the use and intent of these caps?  Thank you in advance.
