SOX lamps, production ceased
« on: August 30, 2020, 01:02:49 pm »
Production of low pressure sodium lamps, sometimes known as SOX lamps, has so far as is known ended.

There are still lamps in the supply chain and on distributors shelves, but production has ended, presumably permanently. Phillips Hamilton factory in the UK was the last maker of these lamps.
Led retrofits are available and give a better but very different light.

There still is one factory in China making them, from what I've seen, they're not bad...
