Title: test for light strings

I have been trying to determine which of my light strings are composite and which are bakelite and while repairing a string today found a simple test. bakelite is non souluable (sp) to any chemicals, but composite seems to be souluable to common rubbing alcohol. thought this might help in the identification between the two.
