Just yesterday I brought out a bunch of vintage xmas lights from storage with the hope of selling some off on eBay. After photographing the bubble lights I thought it might be a better idea to keep them and put them on the tree this year. So this year I am going to do our tree with all vintage lights, that is if I can find enough old light strings to use.
Regarding the link you posted - nice bubble lights, but at $180 per set I wonder how many he's actually going to sell?

Wish I could have a Tree of Bubblers but as I Live in England and would have to use a Converter to even run one set.............
